Purpose

The role of our activities program is to teach, promote, and build character and skills for all of those involved. Involvement in the activities program will assist students in becoming high-functioning adults who can succeed in society by using the qualities promoted by the individual programs, coaches, teammates, and the overall activities program philosophy.

 

Requirements for Participation

In order for students to participate in middle school sports and activities they are required to have the following paperwork on file in the activities office and updated online prior to participating:

  • A current physical completed by an authorized medical professional each year with proof of student health insurance with the MSHSAA participation certificate signed by a parent or guardian.
  • Emergency contact information.
  • Activities handbook commitment form signed by the student and parent/guardian.
  • Social media contract.

All students must have a physical registered on the Arbiter website before he/she may participate on the first day of practice. 


According to MSHSAA by-law 213.0, you must have passed, the preceding quarter of attendance, a minimum of 7 of 8 classes to be academically eligible to participate in middle school athletics.
