Dalton Burch With a Clutch First Down Catch

Dalton Burch was faced with a tall task in week 4. When the Eagles were down 2 points in the 4th quarter, on the 50 yard line, stuck behind the chains, and needed a huge play. To try to keep the fight going. We asked Dalton Burch what was going through his mind on this huge play.
“We were in a dire situation and we needed a big play. So Coach Page called all fades. As I ran I noticed I was in triple coverage and then I saw the ball coming towards me. I jumped up and reached up towards the ball as I created separation from my DB and then had the Safety and another DB on my back. I snagged the ball and held onto it as tight as I could because I knew I could not drop this ball. As I hit the ground I had to hurry up and hustle to give the ball back to the ref as quickly as I could so we could hurry up and run another play as the clock was ticking down.”
Because of this big catch the Eagles were able to be in field goal range and try to hit the game winning field goal.
