Serving Up a New Season: GVHS Tennis off to a Great Start

The Girls Varsity Tennis team is just at the beginning of their fall season for the year. Starting off the season with a solid record of 2-1 as of September 15, 2026. Coach Draper is putting in the work coaching these girls and pushing them to become better everyday.
Junior Avery Lunn says that “the season has been great, besides having many matches rescheduled.” She believes that the team has gotten close as they've spent more and more time together. She's a hardworking, dedicated athlete that wants to see her team succeed. They've been working hard over these past few weeks, wanting to have an outstanding season.
The Junior Varsity tennis team has also been working hard starting off with a record of 3-0. Junior Malaina Green says that she “loves tennis season and it's going amazing.” Although it's only her first year as a tennis player, she has already gotten closer with everyone and can't wait for the rest of the season. She continues to push herself and her teammates, striving to become better.
The Tennis program as a whole has been very successful, and they want to continue that success as the season progresses. We can't wait to see what they have in store for the rest of the season.
